Our place for the weekend
Tucked away beside the Swale estuary on the Isle of Sheppey, The Harty Estate feels a very long way from London — despite being only around an hour away by car.
Think open countryside, water, beautiful old buildings, big skies and very little reason to leave once you arrive. We’ll have the estate to ourselves for the celebration, which is exactly why we wanted to make a whole weekend of it.

BY TRAIN
Sittingbourne is the recommended station. From there, it’s roughly a 30-minute taxi to The Harty Estate. Harty is pretty rural, so please book your taxi to the venue in advance rather than relying on finding one when you arrive.

On the night of the wedding, we’ll have taxis running from The Harty Estate between 11:00pm and 1:00am. If you’re staying offsite, please let us know where you’re staying when you RSVP. We’ll use everyone’s accommodation details to plan the taxi drop-offs in advance and let the drivers know where guests need to get to. We’ll share any final taxi details with you closer to the wedding. For getting to the venue earlier in the day, and on Friday night, please still arrange your own transport in advance.

We’d love you to stay onsite with us and we’ve allocated a room at the venue for you.
Please drop Meg or Bill a message ASAP for the details. The estate has a mixture of guest rooms and cottages spread around the grounds, so we’ll let you know exactly where you’ll be sleeping. Then all you need to do is wake up and find your way to breakfast. Perfect.

SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP
There are plenty of accommodation options around the Isle of Sheppey and Sittingbourne.
We’d recommend booking sooner rather than later, particularly if you’re joining us for the whole weekend. If you’re travelling by train, Sittingbourne is also a practical place to base yourselves. On Saturday night, we’ll have taxis leaving The Harty Estate between 11:00pm and 1:00am. Please tell us where you’re staying when you RSVP so we can plan drop-offs in advance.
